CFRI is hiring a Research Associate

The Colorado Forest Restoration Institute at Colorado State University is hiring a full time position to assist with managing tasks and contributing to deliverables associated with a program of work in adaptive management, collaborative monitoring, and ecological research for forest landscape restoration and wildfire risk co-management. A primary function of this position is to integrate science into adaptive management decision-making frameworks with field foresters from agencies such as the Colorado State Forest Service, NRCS conservation districts, the US Forest Service, and watershed place-based collaborative groups, such as the Upper South Platte Partnership. This includes working with forestry partners to integrate science based strategies into forest inventory, project planning, and prescription development, as well as monitoring and evaluation of ecological outcomes. The incumbent will work with CFRI team members to develop field data collection protocols, data management, data analysis, and reporting results via both oral communication and written products, including manuscripts submitted to peer-review journals.
