Kevin Barrett

Research Associate, Colorado Forest Restoration Institute

Kevin is a Research Associate who joined CFRI in 2015 and is the Research and Monitoring Program Manager.  His interests involve understanding the effects of forest management on ecological systems, particularly focusing on vegetation responses and wildlife-habitat interactions.  He was worked on a diverse set of projects, ranging from studying deer behavioral responses to different forest harvest strategies in southern New England mixed hardwood forests, to researching the small mammal and meso-carnivore community responses to forest restoration in northern Arizona ponderosa pine forests.  Kevin holds a B.S. in Forestry from Northern Arizona University, and an M.F.S. in Forest Science from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies.
