Marin is a Research Associate with CFRI joining us in 2015 and is a Program Manager for Research, Monitoring, and Stakeholder Engagement. She has done botany and forestry research in Colorado, Wyoming, and South Dakota in montane, subalpine, and alpine ecosystems. Her primary interests are disturbance and restoration ecology, specifically forest recovery, resilience, and adaptation in relationship to forest management, natural disturbances such as wildfire or insect/disease outbreaks, and climate change. Marin’s recent research examines forest regeneration and resilience in post-fire landscapes in the Southern Rockies region. She holds two degrees from Colorado State University: a B.S. in Horticultural Science (2011) and a M.S. in Forest Ecology (2015).
