Conservation Effects Assessment Program

(CEAP)

PURPOSE

CFRI collects and analyzes data on watershed and grazing conservation locations for the Natural Resources Conservation Service.

CONTEXT

The Natural Resources Conservation Service hosts the Conservation Effects Assessment Program (CEAP), a program designed to document and quantify the environmental effects of conservation programs across the nation. With this data, they can improve the effectiveness of future conservation initiatives.

OUR INVOLVEMENT

Our researchers identify study areas in diverse ecosystems impacted by conservation efforts, and we collect data on forested grazing land and watershed sites. The data collected is analyzed and used to build models of the future ecosystem.

More information on this program will be available as the project develops.
