At CFRI, we believe that no one forest or fire science issue can be tackled alone. We have a blend of expertise on our staff including forest and fire scientists, social scientists, various program managers, field crew leaders, administration and coordination professionals, and CSU student employees. Together, we can help our partners generate actionable knowledge to inform forest and fire management strategies across Colorado and the inter-mountain west
CFRI is committed to developing the next generation of land managers, scientists, and decision-makers by providing opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to get hands on experience through paid field work, internships, and independent study projects. CFRI upholds the Colorado State University land-grant mission to provide teaching, research, public service, and engagement. We are hosted by the university’s Warner College of Natural Resources’ Department of Forest and Rangeland Stewardship.
