Three CFRI student staff members won awards at the Warner College of Natural Resources Awards Banquet on Wednesday, April 18th, 2018.

Spencer Elliott won the WCNR Undergraduate Research Award for his work with CFRI. Spencer did research as part of the first cohort of students in our SURFER program.

Kait Evensen won the student-nominated Forest and Rangeland Stewardship Outstanding Student of the Year award.

Both Spencer and Kait are graduating seniors in Natural Resource Management. They have been a part of the CFRI field crew and student staff since the summer of 2016, and both will continue to work with us through the summer of 2018 as a crew leaders for summer field research teams.

Alexandra Schuetter won the David A. Falletti Memorial Award for being an outstanding senior in Watershed Science. She started working with CFRI in January of 2018.

CFRI has provided over 40 student jobs to undergraduates at Colorado State University since 2005. That number grows every year with opportunities to do field work and undergraduate research every year.
