Jarod Dunn

Research Associate, Colorado Forest Restoration Institute

Jarod joined CFRI in 2020 to contribute to the development of socioeconomic support products for CFRI including economic impact analysis, economic surveying and monitoring, and NEPA analysis. Prior to working at CFRI Jarod worked on many large-scale natural resource projects both as a consultant and as a research associate. This includes resource management plans for the Great Salt Lake Watershed and utilization of pine beetle kill timber for the generation of bioenergy in Montana and Colorado. He has provided reports with technical analysis on a multitude of socioeconomic topics for both private and public stakeholders in Montana, Utah, Colorado, and Arizona. A recent research topic for him is estimating a cost function for Forest Service NEPA timber projects in Region 2. Jarod holds a master’s degree from Utah State University in resource and environmental economics. He has taught classes on NEPA, micro and macroeconomics, and sustainable energy development.
