Scott joined CFRI in 2021 as geospatial analyst and decision support specialist. His work with CFRI involves spatial modeling of fire behavior and probability for wildfire risk assessments and decision support tools for fire management and planning. Scott is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Forest Science at Colorado State University and holds an M.S. in Forest Science from Colorado State University and a B.S in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont. His research is primarily focused on using cutting-edge fire modeling tools to understand interactions between fuel structure and potential fire behavior.
